The Financial — In August 2018 the Domestic Producer Price Index for Industrial Products (DPPI) increased by 0.5 percent compared to the previous month. In the mentioned period prices increased by 0.7 percent for manufactured products, while the prices decreased by 0.2 percent for electrical energy, gas, steam and hot water. Compared to August 2017 the DPPI increased by 6.0 percent. There was a 4.0 percent increase in the prices for the group of manufactured products. The prices increased by 14.1 percent for electrical energy, gas, steam and hot water and by 8.2 percent for the products from mining and quarrying. The following table shows DPPI for August 2018, compared to the same month of the previous year, as well as the contributions of sub-groups that had a major effect on the index.
