The FINANCIAL — As of May 24, Ukrainian agrarians planted spring grains and pulses throughout the areas of 7.049 mln ha, or 96% of the forecast, an increase of 0.411 mln ha compared with the same date last year, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, agrarians planted corn for grain throughout 4.308 mln ha (96%), buckwheat – 115 thsd ha (89%), millet – 74 thsd ha (62%), rice – 11 thsd ha (94%), and sorghum – 52 thsd ha (63%), according to APK-Inform.
Also, Ukraine planted sunflower seed throughout 5.074 mln ha (97%), and soybeans – 1.745 mln ha (85%).
