Georgia enjoys Canada’s firm political support – Mikheil Janelidze

The FINANCIAL — The Georgian Vice Premier, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze attended the reception organized by the Embassy of Canada to Georgia to mark the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Canada and the 150th anniversary of Canada.

Mikheil Janelidze extensively spoke about partner relations between Georgia and Canada, specifically in the areas of defence and security, trade and economy, democratic and institutional development, according to MFA of Georgia.

The Vice Premier paid special attention to Canada’s firm support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for its European and Euro-Atlantic integration, democratic consolidation and economic progress.

The reception held at the museum of the Wine National Agency was attended by foreign diplomats and other invited guests. Canada’s national holiday – the Day of the Confederation was celebrated for the first time.
