The FINANCIAL — Maximali is offering 4th generation internet service based on Wimax technologies. 4th generation internet service gives the opportunity to receive internet connection by using a wireless USB modem. A USB modem is portable and free from wires so the customers are able to get Maximali 4G internet service anywhere within the coverage area, which covers: Tbilisi, Rustavi, Poti and Batumi.
The number of customers of the 4G internet service has already reached 2,000. The price for wireless internet modem is GEL 200.
“We also offer special discounts to our customers. They can get modems by paying GEL 35 per month and cover the expenses step by step. We plan to launch about 60-63 stations by the end of 2009 and to cover the whole of Tbilisi. This year Maximali plans to invest USD 25-30 million, the same amount as in 2008,” Sandro Karumidze, Commercial Director of Maximali, says.
Clients are served in Service Centers on 22 Metekhi street in Tbilisi and on 38 Gamsakhurdia Avenue in Batumi. As for Tskhneti, Rustavi and Poti, the clients are served in dealers shops. Customers can also phone MAXIMALI toll-free hotline number, which is available during 24 hours a day.

“Maximali is the first operator on the Georgian market offering wireless internet. The main advantage of our company is its portability. You can have internet wherever you move. Another issue is our focus on customer satisfaction. We try to be very responsive to reassure our customers that we need their requirements,” Halawani says.
Maximali is trying to cover the whole spectrum of customers. Accordingly it has four different kind of customer’s premises equipment: one is outdoor, to be used mainly by corporate buildings; another is indoor, mainly residential for citizens and companies; for mobile phones there is BC, MCI modem cards.
“Receiving Maximali wireless internet is very easy. Customers will get wireless USB modems, which are ideal for laptop computers. Its biggest advantage is its portability, it is wireless and gives the opportunity to move freely within the whole territory of the coverage area. During the year 2009, the company is planning to cover more areas of the country. Maximali will operate 4G internet service in Georgia, covering metropolitan areas, suburban areas and popular resorts,” Teimuraz Gogoberidze, CEO, announced.
“At first Maximali started working in Batumi. That’s why the biggest number of our customers is from this region. The advantage of Maximali from our competitors is its wireless, high speed internet with good quality. We plan to cover the whole of Tbilisi by summer 2009. The number of our customers will reach several thousand. Our priorities are assimilating regions where the competition is less. Maximali is buying internet packages from local internet providers,” Gogoberidze notes.
